From time to time, the City of Connellsville will post on our Facebook Page and share even more opportunities to volunteer in the City of Connellsville. Some opportunities may be City-related and others are different organizations that need help.

Volunteers have become the heart of the City. Mayor Greg Lincoln has led and continues to lead many volunteer groups throughout the years.

VOLUNTEERING IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Volunteers Needed:

Connellsville Area Senior Center

Position: Volunteer position for Home Delivered Meals

If you would like to change someone’s life, come and volunteer for our Meals on Wheels Program.

Volunteer positions are available daily, weekly, monthly in the Greater Connellsville Area. Schedules are flexible and adhere to all policies, laws and regulations. We have safety precautions in place due to COVID-19. All delivery is contactless.

Qualifications:

· Must have valid PA drivers license and safe driving record.

· Ability to transport oneself in an insured vehicle.

· Must be able to read and follow directions to ensure delivery of meals.

The Carnegie Free Library is seeking volunteers for raking leaves throughout the fall. They are also in need of volunteers for assisting patrons. Whether you need to complete volunteer hours for school or college, wish to support the library or have extra time to spare, please contact Eileen at 724-628-1380. Every offer to help is sincerely appreciated!

The Connellsville Recreation Board is always looking for volunteers with new ideas to help the children in this community. From offering the kids something to do each season of the year to fixing up playgrounds or holding fundraisers, your help and ideas are very much needed and appreciated. Contact the Administrative Office at 724-628-2020 ext. 201 for details.

Connellsville Police Auxiliary is always seeking new volunteer members. Please click on "Departments" above, then "Police" and last "Police Auxiliary" for complete information on this auxiliary and how to join. The Connellsville Police Auxiliary is critical in all City events.

New Haven Hose Volunteer Fire Department is the fire department for the City of Connellsville. They are all volunteers who selflessly risk their lives for others. All ages are considered. Call 724-628-5599 for information on how to volunteer for New Haven Hose.

Connellsville Area Community Ministries is in need of many different volunteers. Please call Phone: (724) 626-1120 and ask how you can volunteer with them.
