If you are considering building a structure or renovating a property in the City limits, please contact Mr. Currey for detailed instructions on the City of Connellsville's rules and regulations. He will also explain the building permit process.

Please note: If you are considering putting in an above ground or below ground pool, you must have a building permit. Mr. Currey will help you through this process.

If you are considering opening a business in the City, please check with Mr. Currey to ensure the location you are looking at is zoned appropriately for your business.

If you have any health related issues in the City, Mr. Currey will inspect and handle all complaints.

POOL REGULATIONS

CITY OF CONNELLSVILLE

ALL POOLS 24” IN HEIGHT OR OVER REQUIRE A BUILDING PERMIT FROM BOTH THE CITY OF CONNELLSVILLE AND FAYETTE COUNTY UNIFORM CONSTRUCTION CODE OFFICE.

THE POOL AND ACCESSORY STRUCTURES CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED IN THE BACK YARD OR SIDE YARD.

THE POOL MUST MEET ALL SET BACK REQUIREMENTS.

THE POOL MUST BE BELOW THE TOTAL “LOT COVERAGE” AS SET FORTH IN THE CONNELLSVILLE ZONING ORDINANCE.

A MINIMUM 48” ENCLOSURE MUST BE PROVIDED FOR ALL PERMITTED POOLS WITH A SELF CLOSING LATCH.

THE WALL OF THE POOL CAN BE USED AS THE ENCLOSURE PROVIDED:

THAT THE LADDER MUST LOCK IN THE UP POSITION WHEN NOT IN USE

THE 48” MUST BE FREE FROM THE GROUND ON ALL SIDES

(IF YOU DIG TO LEVEL THE POOL, YOU MUST SUBTRACT THAT FROM THE WALL OF THE POOL)
